Even now, the digital cameras are still very expensive. There are also technical issues such as the transfer of the pictures captured by the camera to the PC.

X10 proposes a much more affordable and easy-to-use system : the Xray Vision with a USB converter. This kit includes a little wireless video camera, which sends pictures to a USB converter, directly connected to your PC. And so it is possible to save the pictures captured by the little camera on the hardware, at intervals which you define (from every 10 seconds to every 2 minutes). You do not have to stay behind the camera, all the shots are automatically taken and saved. It is possible to create a network of wireless cameras, in order to capture pictures of several situations in the whole house. Xray Vision software automatically changes between the various cameras, just as you direct, and saves at intervals you defined.
