With more and more burglaries occurring during long vacations,
it becomes risky to leave your house unattended. Prevention
is the first step to protect your home with a security
console, but if a breaking-in happens, then you may need
evidence of the burglars’ identity.
The new XCAM2 PIR kit can solve this issue : indeed, it contains
a camera, equipped with a motion detector and a VCR Commander.
The camera is permanently on, and sends its pictures to
a 2.4 GHz receiver plugged into the VCR. As soon as a motion
is detected, the camera sends a 433 MHz message to the
VCR commander, in order to turn it to recording mode.
The XCAM2 PIR can be adapted to the consumer’s specific
needs. An additional feature allows the consumer to select
a time delay that will automatically turn off the camera
after a pre-determined time lapse once movement has stopped.
It is no longer necessary to set the VCR on “long
play record” as the recording mode is triggered only
when movement is detected. Therefore one recording tape
can last much longer as there is no waste of recording
time. Another advantage is that the consumer doesn’t
have to fast forward from one event to another.
Moreover, XCAM2 PIR kit combines Power Line Carrier and
2.4 GHz technology making it a wireless and easy to use
security system. But most important, RF allows you to locate
the VCR and its commander in a remote discrete location,
so that the intruder cannot guess that his image is recorded,
nor find your VCR !
