SAVE TIME IN THE MORNING

Each working day, it is always the same process to be ready for work : first you have to turn on the bed lamp, then open the bedroom shutters, switch on the bathroom lights and heaters to have a shower, then turn on the kitchen light for breakfast. Repeating these steps each morning is monotonous and time consuming ! But with X10’s home automation system, it is possible to simplify your morning routine…

 

You can now set all these actions just as you need, for example :

  • at 6.55 am, the alarm rings,

  • 5 minutes later, the bathroom heater is switched on, as well as the lights in his bedroom, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and the shutters open.

  • 10 minutes after leaving for work, all the lights and electric heaters are turned off automatically.

Now your "waking up" is really more peaceful. With X10, you even win 10 minutes to stay longer in bed
   
  HOW TO REALISE THIS APPLICATION ?
   
 
 

X10 devices required :

  • Mini-Timer - MT10E - 1 unit :

    When it is a working week, just programme the Mini-Timer in this very easy way :

    Set the house code to A
    Put the SELECTOR on 1-4
    Set the local time : put the left switch on SET CLOCK, select the time by pressing TIME + /-, then come back to RUN
    Set the alarm time you wish to be woken : select PROG SET, the time which suits you by pressing Time + or -, press WAKE UP (key 1), and then come back to RUN
    To have all the necessary electric appliances activated in the same time : select PROG SET, select the time (for example 7 a.m), then press 1 ON to indicate the action,
    To have all of them automatically switched OFF, select the time, (for example 7.50 a.m.) then press 1 OFF
    When the setting is finished, select RUN

  • Dimmer plug-in module - LM12E - 1 unit :

    Give the appliance module for the table lamp the same unit code as for the Mini-Timer setting (A1 ). Insert it into a standard 230 volts socket, and plug the table lamp into its front face. On receiving a PLC signal from the Mini-Timer, it will switch ON / OFF the table lamp.

  • Switch plug-in module - AM12E- 1 unit :

    Repeat this operation for the electric heaters of the bathroom and its switch module.

  • Wall mounted dimmer - LW10E - 2 units :

    Replace the original switch of the bathroom by the X10 wall mounted dimmer. Give it unit code A1 as for the Mini-Timer setting. Do the same for the kitchen lighting switch.

  • Wall-Mounted Motor Drive Switch - SW10E - 1 unit :

    Replace the original switch of your electric shutters by the X10 Wall-Mounted Motor Drive switch. Give it the same unit code A1 as for the Mini-Timer setting.

    Now on each of your working days, your Mini-Timer will manage all your house lights, heaters and shutters for you. And on weekends, you can stop the setting by putting the WAKE UP button on OFF.
